This is an announcement for all individuals who have books overdue from the library. This week ends the library's amnesty period. This means that after Friday at 5:00 all fees that you have incurred on these books will be charged to your account. There is no exception to this rule. Thank you.

I'd like to apologize to my students in Eng 136 (Crime through the Ages) about my absense yesterday. Unfortunately there were circumstances that could not be avoided that led to it. I can assure each and every one of you that class will be in session on Thursday, so please finish Murder on the Orient Express and we will discuss it in class.

My Shakespeare students? This is just a reminder that your papers on Richard III are due Friday, I do not accept late papers with the exception of hospitalization or death. If you cannot be in class, send it via email. You will get full credit even if you are not in class. Papers are due by 5 PM on Friday in my inbox. After 5 I will be shutting down the mailbox. So I will know if they're late.

There is a speaker coming to campus on November 4th. And I have decided that anyone who attends the campus conversation with Miss Welles will recieve extra credit.

    See you all in class.

So my classroom is finally set up. It isn't Gotham or the clocktower but I'm teaching teenagers now and I think it will do nicely. Luckily the school both has an elevator and has put me on the first floor... of course the lunchroom is on the third, but I can make due. Everything in time.

Cassandra, if you want to come over this week we can start getting you ready for the new year. We're only a couple of weeks off.

Also I started to tell the local merchants that I need a wheelchair ramp. Some of them have been less than cooperative... I may have to threaten a lawsuit under the Americans with Disabilities Act before they actually comply.

This system is actually rather basic for me. Interesting layout. Easy interface. Not bad, not bat at all... One thing is certian, finding a moving company in Gotham that is willing to move things to a place like this is certainly not easy. Bruce I don't know how you did it. I had a devil of a time finding one that would move all of my stuff without asking too many questions.

The administration of the local high school has finally gotten back to me, it came just in time too because we just rolled into town this week - no pun intended of course. For those of you curious, my name is Barbara Gordon I'm a computer programmer (I build cyber security systems for large companies) and I'll be one of the new teachers on staff at Manhattan High School this term.

Glad to be here. Needless to say Manhattan, Kansas is a lot different than Gotham or even Metropolis. Haven't been in a town like this in... I don't know how long it has been.
